Our clients Mcaleer and Rushe were so pleased with the work that we had done on the Jury's Inn Liverpool project that they asked us to undertake the roofing of their new Jury's Inn in Sheffield City Centre - but this time the specification called for 2000sqm of Green Roof.
Green (or Living) Roofs are a trend that we see increasing over the next few years but they require special skills and knowledge to fit - something we have in abundance at Norman Shawcross Roofing.In this case, the specification we suggested and that was agreed was a Vedag Sedum roof.
This product has a mineral finish capsheet that incorporates an agent which stops the sedum growing into the waterproofing system and also encourages it to grow. The project was finished on budget and 4 weeks ahead of schedule.
